I wore Wild for 30 days next to Billie and Salt & Stone. Wild's the one still on my counter. It's $19.99 for the case and your first refill, then $9 a refill after that. Aluminum free, baking soda free, and the refill comes wrapped in bamboo pulp that composts. It held through school runs and hot afternoons. It won't stop you sweating, nothing aluminum free will. It's the priciest of the three. If you're not going to reorder refills, skip it.

What Is Wild Deodorant?
Wild is a refillable natural deodorant. You buy an aluminium case once, and from then on you buy refills that slide into it. The refill comes wrapped in bamboo pulp, which composts. There is no plastic in the ongoing cycle at all.
That is the entire proposition, and it is worth being clear about it, because most "natural deodorant" is just a normal stick with a different ingredient list. Wild changed the container, not only the formula.
The formula is over 94% natural origin, aluminum free, paraben free and baking soda free. The ingredient list is short enough to actually read.

does Wild deodorant actually work?
Yeah, for a normal day. That's the honest ceiling and I'm not stretching it.
Thirty days. School runs, warm afternoons, one genuinely gross day in the car. It held up against Billie and Salt + Stone, and comes in a cuter case.
Here's the thing nobody tells you. Wild won't stop you sweating. It's a deodorant. It handles smell. Antiperspirant is the thing that stops sweat and it does that with aluminum, which is the exact thing Wild took out. So if a brand promises you an aluminum free product that keeps you dry, that product does not exist.
Sweat less, you need antiperspirant. Not smell, Wild does that.

Wild costs a few dollars more a month than the cheapest one that works. Some months that's a coffee, but if you’re thinking about sustainability, I love that Wild does it’s part to keep you and the environment healthy.

Buy a 2.6oz stick of anything else and you're living with that smell until it's gone. With Wild the refill is the unit, so you pick again every couple of months. I kept reordering because picking a new scent was kind of fun. That's the entire reason it stuck.
On sensitive skin: Wild's baking soda free. Baking soda is what makes people red and itchy and quit natural deodorant in week two. If one scent bothers you, you've lost a $9 refill and not the case.

Wild and LoveShackFancy dropped a refillable collection July 5, which included body wash, deodorant, and hand wash. I snagged it and someone asked me where I got it from!! It’s deodorant lol, but I love that it has that reaction in public instead of “ew, she’s putting on deodorant?”

Why it wins
I am a busy girlie - I have a toddler boy, run a company, have two dogs that need constant love and exercise, and this summer was HOT. Since having a kid, I’ve been a lot more conscious about what goes into my body, because I think about it for my son.
One thing I realized I hadn’t given an mind to was deodorant - even though we’ve all seen those claims about what bad deodorant can do to us. So I decided to finally try a few new brands and just do it. Wild to me did two things: it made me feel good about what was going on my body and feel good about the environment. The other options had the feel-good to them, but not on the environment front. So they lost points.
The second thing is, Wild just worked better. Off the bat, I loved the way Salt & Stone smelled, but it didn’t stay on me enough to justify the price. Billie is good - it’s fine. But Wild kept me smelling better, for longer.

Billie is the cheap one that did the job but wasn’t anything special.
Salt & Stone just didn’t. Around $20, you cannot justify deodorant in a cute case with a good smell that doesn’t keep you smelling fresh. No case, no refills, not buying this ever again.

Coming off antiperspirant? The first two to four weeks are worse. You'll sweat more. You might smell more. The deodorant isn't failing.
Antiperspirant plugs your sweat ducts with aluminum. Stop using it and your body goes back to normal, and the bacteria that cause smell have something to work with again. It settles down.
Week two is when everyone quits and decides natural deodorant doesn't work. It works. They quit too early.

Get Wild if you like buying a thing once, you'll actually reorder, and picking a new scent every couple months sounds fun. The case is nice enough to leave out.
