It behaves like a tinted balm and covers like a light foundation, which sounds like marketing until you wear it. I used two pumps on a normal weekday face, blended with fingers, no brush, no primer, no setting powder. At 3pm I checked the lines around my mouth and my nasolabial folds, which is where every other base I've worn goes to die, and it hadn't moved into either one.

It will not cover a lot. If you want your redness gone, this is not the product. It evens you out and then stops, which is the entire point.

Shade note: it runs warmer than it looks on the site. If you're between two, size down.

the honest take: the single most useful thing in the lineup, and the one I'd buy first if I were only buying one.

It's a sheer cream you tap onto cheeks with a finger. Because it's a balm rather than a powder, it doesn't grab onto dry patches or sit on top of texture. On skin that has any dryness at all, this is the difference between looking rested and looking dusty.

I use this as my bronzer, my blush, and highlighter. Literally.

The reason this thing has the reviews it does is that it works on 65-year-old skin and 30-year-old skin for the same reason, which is that it never dries down.

Tough to be up against some of these incredible products, but this was my least favorite item from Jones Road that I tried. The formula wasn’t drying, but it also wasn’t hydrating. It was just kind of, there.

Not too pigmented (which goes along with the no-makeup makeup look). Maybe I pulled the wrong shade for my complexion, but I don’t find myself reaching for this the way I do their other products. I think it would work if you just want a slight tint and to not feel like you are wearing lipstick at all.

It's a clean formula that separates rather than clumps. It does not do drama. If you want falsies in a tube, buy something else. I’ve applied two and even three coats of this and it just doesn’t clump and stayed curled. I really am amazed at how wrong I was about it at first glance lol.

It also doesn't flake into the under-eye by lunch, which matters more as the skin there gets thinner.

I have hooded eyes and I wanted to love this pencil - the brown color is beautiful and it stayed on the top of my lids through a full day on vacation (even through sweat). But the winged part around my eye dropped and smudged.

If you don’t have hooded eyes, try it. It was long lasting and the brown is seriously a beautiful shade!!

If you have any dryness, any texture, or any fine lines, the case is easy. Jones Road is built for exactly that face and the formulas are doing something structurally different from what powder can do. This starts mattering in your mid thirties, well before anyone calls your skin mature.
